Shazzy’s Virgin Tresses got its start in 2014, we were selling out of a tiny living room space in a two bedroom apartment. I was tired of buying poor quality, one time use hair extensions from the local beauty supply store. They would have the most beautiful packaging and claim to be 100% virgin remy hair. After the second week of installation you would notice matting, tangling and shedding so bad you thought you had a pet store in your bathroom.

By occupation I am a Licensed Medical Laboratory Scientist, so naturally I went into full research mode. We spent thousands of dollars buying samples to find out which manufacturer offered hair that would pass shedding tests, determine how long and under what conditions hair would begin matting, what products were best to maintain the hair, how much heat processing hair could take without treatment intervention. I even ran tests to see how well hair would bounce back to its original state after straitening, curling, and coloring.

It took many months to finally find a manufacturer to work with. In summer of 2017 we received a bad batch of product from the manufacturer we were working with at that time. I was devastated because after 3 years of working with this company we found ourselves making refund after refund, apology after apology. We put a halt all operations. Needless to say we had to go back to the drawing board, revamp our company and start fresh with a new manufacturer.

This time around we have enhanced our quality control protocols to ensure that every order placed by our client is fulfilled with quality product that we can back. We are committed to service excellence and to making sure that each and every client enjoys being a Shazzy Doll!
